Friday – Planned REST Day
Saturday – 6 miles (1 hour, 11 minutes-ish) in my VFF
Sunday – Upper Body (20 minutes?… interrupted by froyo needs)
This weekend was a hodge podge of more packing, tying up loose ends and saying goodbye to friends. Fort Wayne will receive it’s official goodbye this week. The highlight running-wise was the completion of a 6-mile long run on Saturday, and my longest Vibram FiveFingers run to date. This was the first long run in my new training cycle, which I plan to share more about soon.
I ran for the last time along the Rivergreenway. The weather was beautiful. I reminisced about the many runs I have had along this 22-mile paved pathway in Fort Wayne. It would have a been a great day to have a camera with me, yet I still have not conquered the whole running with a camera skill. Does anyone have tips on that?

Other weekend highlights included enjoying one last trip to Panera (they’ll still have Panera in Ohio BTW), visiting my stylist for one last haircut and one last trip to YOYO Frozen Yogurt.

Cookies and Cream. Strawberry. Cheesecake.
Remembering 9/11: And of course, on Sunday, along with much of the nation, I took time to recognize and remember the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. I didn’t want to end this post without a mention of the day that forever changed America. I was only 16, and in high school at the time. I didn’t fully comprehend the impact of that day. Now I do.
May God continue to bless America.
