For those of you who were wondering… here’s how the gnocchi turned out.
The husband and I agreed we would eat it again. I think next time I’ll make the gnocchi a little smaller and maybe add some more spice. I mixed it with spinach and chicken sausage. It turned out to be a very filling meal.
Workout-wise I ran 5.25 miles on Saturday.
It started out well enough, but by the end of the run my IT band was really bothering me. That was especially discouraging considering I am in the last two weeks before my half-marathon. And how did I run a 10-miler two weeks ago pain-free? The human body continues to confound me.
The poor run was made better by a really unique yoga practice later at Inner Bliss. It felt great to be back in a studio. For various reasons, including the lack of a studio vibe, I have decided I am not going to sign up for any more yoga classes at the YMCA. I’m finishing out my 5-week session this week and then plan to start trying out various studios.
I selected a 90-minute slow flow class at Inner Bliss, and was shocked and amazed that nearly 50 people showed up for this class on a Saturday night! Wow. The class was challenging for me, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the longer class because I often find 60-minutes barely gives me enough time to warm up. I also was able to get one foot flat on the floor during a one-legged downward dog — which is great considering my physical therapist said my calves were very tight back in the spring.
I’ll end this post with some beautiful photos of Cleveland.
I took these from the Terminal Tower observation deck!
