Next year I need to pre-write my May blog posts because I am so incredibly behind at this point it’s unbelievable. I never intend to fall out of the blogging universe but it happens from time to time. I’m fully aware I have a blog and editorial calendar sitting over here. There just have not been enough hours in the day to write anything that isn’t absolutely critical!
That being said here’s a little bit of what’s been going on over here. All of my gardening and planting needs to be done now. I’ve been getting plants in the ground as they arrive in the mail. I have endless weeding and mulching that needs to be done. I also have a crop of wheat grass that was supposed to die over the winter… instead it lived (how in the world, considering this Cleveland winter) and it’s now… keyword… out of control! I’m starting to see color too. Here is one of the ornamental allium plants I have growing:
When the temps started creeping up Lulu became miserable in her winter coat. She received her first shave-down of the year recently and I don’t even recognize my own pet. She went from looking like an old woman, to looking young and spry again within a matter of two hours.
Oh, and painting. 2014 is the year of painting – all of the things. I spent no less than 20 hours over the past two weekends painting our garage and that’s only the beginning. I’ll try to adjust my blogging expectations to match reality but I can’t make any guarantees. By the time I’m done with all my springtime/beginning of summer chores it will be July 4 and that’s typically the slowest time of the year for blogging. Knowing my luck I’ll be back in full force then. Ha!
I hope you are enjoying this season as much as I am. It’s such a welcome reprieve following the winter we had. Now I must get back to juggling the dozen or so client projects I have at the moment. Happy Spring!
