Guess where I’m at?
I’m back in my old stomping grounds, here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for business this week. It’s been bittersweet to be back. The sweet memories are mostly those of my favorite haunts here and my friends.
Downtown Fort Wayne
I arrived Monday after a four-hour drive and I eagerly anticipated a much-needed yoga practice to unwind my body. I was able to meet up with my friend LC and we went to the Monday night vinyasa flow class at LOTUS, which was my favorite yoga studio when I lived here. Of course this class did not disappoint.
We performed at least 30 sun salutations as a warm-up. I lost count there were so many. We also performed some great hip openers and finished the practice with a spinal twist and an amazing savasana. The instructor for this class sings during a portion of the final relaxation.
Afterward we “awoke” to a candlelit room. It was awesome class and yogis are treated to warm tea here in the winter as well! LC and I were able to eat and drink at two of my favorite local establishments after class too. 🙂
Tuesday night I ran 3 miles on the treadmill in my VFF. In running updates, I have been managing 2 to 3 milers pretty frequently and I’m happy with that right now. And in between all the eating out, I’m making sure I get my whole grains in too… 😉
P.S. In CLE yoga news Puma Yoga in Lakewood is currently offering $5 drop in classes.
