Tuesday I attended the February Ohio Blogging Association Meetup.
Bloggers Whole Foods
This month’s event was held at Whole Foods Market in University Heights, Ohio. I haven’t blogged about it but I have wandered into Whole Foods a few times now since moving to Cleveland. Prior to the move I had never been to one. I do like that Whole Foods has it’s own store-brand of products, “365 Everyday Value” which are rather reasonably priced. They also offer countless demos, events, wine tastings, food pairings and more, most of which are nominally priced to attend.
The meetup food and drink was deemed a “Valentine’s Chocolate 3-Way”:
Chicken Enchiladas with mole sauce, by Chef Sarah Schoenberger
Chocolate and wine pairing tasting with Audree Sinnett, WFM’s wine buyer
“Gourmet” hot chocolate
Ines Rehner, owner of Lakewood chocolatier Sweet Designs also shared some of her amazing handmade chocolates with us. This is the third time there has been a similar OBA meeting at Whole Foods but my first time attending. I really enjoyed the event and am anticipating the opening of a west side Whole Foods in Rocky River, Ohio in 2014!
