30-minutes Lower Body/Abs/Back
Lately I’ve been a complete weight-training failure. And Body-for-LIFE? I think it was kicked to the curb at the same time. I think I’ve done two strength-training workouts since the move. When I was following the BFL program I was religiously lifting weights two to three times per week.
Inevitably every time I get into a really good running schedule, my weight-training, and all other workouts go out the window. Bye bye! I don’t want to have weakling arms or flabby abs, but sometimes it’s just hard to get the motivation to go to the gym. Or to get off the couch, for that matter.
I’ve been doing great with my running, but it never seems like enough. Sigh. These feelings always come after doing really good at my workouts. I develop a standard. Then when I do not meet that standard a few weeks later, suddenly I feel like a slacker.
I should cut myself a break. I’m still in transition mode, figuring out my new routine. And on a positive note, my diet has also been great! (Two for the team. One for the opponent.) The husband sometimes helps motivate me. If he’s going to the gym, I will too. But when he doesn’t even want to go then I’m really lost!
How do you deal when your workout motivation has gone out the window?
Do you prioritize cardio workouts over weight-training, or yoga?
