On Friday, September 20 my life changed.
I crossed over. To the dark side. To a smart phone.
The phone in question? iPhone 5s.
Cell Phones – Old and New
I held out as long as humanly possible. But in the past six to 12 months it had become increasingly clear — in order to stay in the loop with the blogging, social media and business communities — I needed a smart phone. The reason I held off so long was expense. Not so much the initial expense, but the on-going monthly data expense that comes in tow with owning a smart phone. Much to my chagrin, I don’t think it will be that bad, being we tap into wifi at home.
But I couldn’t wait any longer. So I went all out. I purchased the iPhone 5s.
Selecting an iPhone was a no-brainer. I’ve been using MacBook Pro laptops since 2006. In fact you may call this transition pre-meditated. I had already compiled a list of apps I wanted to use. I already knew I wanted to be on the iCloud. I was in this for the long haul.
And so far it’s been pretty much amazing. I have a few critiques of the iPhone and its operating system. But overall and overwhelmingly, I’m beyond impressed. Perhaps having waited so long to upgrade to a smart phone left me in total awe of the capabilities this small device holds. Topping my list the whole “talk and this thing will text what I’m saying” is absolute insanity to me. So now, in typical new smart phone user fashion I ask…
What apps should I not live without?
